Product review:Teddy nappy pads

With Priyanshu ,I had used cloth diapers. They are economical but problem with them is big laundry cost and then freguent changing and they then they might not dry all the time.I had used diposable diapers only at night or while going out.
But with my young daughter ,i had decided that i would not use cloth diapers. They are cummersome too, with a plastic and cotton cloth to carry everywhere along with the child.
So ,i decided to look for other options available to me..
One was Reusable nappies. They are good but are very expensive in india. So i dropped the idea.
Then i decided to use disposable diapers. They are very expensive for every day use especially for new baby and then there is ecological factor.
Furthur seaching the internet and thanks to Namita,i decided to use Teddyy Nappy pads. They are just amazing. The urine is locked in the pad and it doest not leak. Not at any time had my bed sheet been wet.The pad just sticks to cloth nappy and can easily absorb conservatively for 2-3 hrs.At times when i delay changing ,i get a little wet nappy ..that it.
In case of poo also ,it has never leaked on the bed.Its an economical product with  60 pads costing 370 rs on most sites like  www.firstcry.com,www.babyoye.com,www.flipkart.com.I have used nappy pads of a leading brand before but they were very bad. They were as good as wearing cloth diaper .But Teddyy nappy pads are different and good and i would suggest very new mother to try them.

10 commandments of a toddler mom

People have different commandments  or rules for different things in life.I too have certain rules or intutions (that later became rules) which have worked for me in managing my little toddler.

1.Always double check if there is complete silence in the house and kids are not sleeping(something fishy is definately on).
2.There has been some mischief if the child comes smiling right into your arms(unless ofcourse you are not back from work or something similar)
3.Always carry most of his stuff when travelling like t shirts ,toys because the one you dont think you will need will be the ones your child will ask for.
4.However expensive or interesting the toy is ,it will hold interest for maximum 2 days. Then it will be like all the rest of the toys.
5.Always keep bandages, burn cream and medicines handy..You can need them any time.
6.The toys that you keep away because they are not of his age will be the ones that interset him most.
7.Never leave him with his kid sister(3 months)alone in room for even a nano sec.(there has been cases of hugging her tightly to saying hi to her shaking her arms..to trying to  picking her up)
8.Always let him know in advance where we are going and what to expect .Also if any changes are going to happen in the house like a party ietc so that he is perpared for large gathering and loud music.
9.Always keep him constructively busy or he will be distructively busy.
10.and finally,Always keep a little sense of humor alive because even on the carziest of days..a little peck on your cheeks or a little i love you mom would make your day worth living.

living with grand parents

I do believe in the idea that we may be in the right age to make babies but maturity of rasing them in the right manner..i dont know..at least i hav doubted my self a thousand times on different occasions..

Chip in the grandparents..

They are those wonderful people who love your child as much as you do..some times even more than you..
They have much more time generally to give to your child than you do..
and they have the experience to match it too..

I am happy n lucky that my kids are growing with grand parents..
They listen to his constant blabber as it is music..
Infact all credit goes to my father in law to make Priyanshu( 3 yrs)drink his milk every day...he tells him a new story every day so that he drinks that glass of milk...

When i lose my patience with my priyanshu they are there to tell him its ok ...

I dont know how people with nuclear family support their kids..kiddos to them..but for me..i just cant think of it without the help of my in laws...

second child has set me free...

Priyanshu was a premature child .Being the first child and a pre term child i had set high standards for my self n child care from the beginning. Its only now that i accept that i was paranoid...

thank god for my second child ..she has set me free..free from all those inhibitions...

I do have good standards..but now i know better...

Its ok..if she sleeps through her next feeding ...
Its alright if she is sick...kids get sick...they would be fine soon with some care..
Its alright if she is waking up at night...
Its also fine if she is not......
I dont worry when she pees a lot n does not poo for 2 days any more...
Its ok if i leave her n go sometimes....she will be fine...

I know the idea of a second child was a night mare for me ...not any more...im happy ...i have been set free....

Thank you my darling angle had it not been you i would not had realised this...
